This seminar focuses on helping you understand your Optimism/Pessimism profile, and gives you a strategic look at your optimistic strengths and weaknesses. Take and score the Russ Optimism Strategy Inventory Evaluation (ROSIE) and get feedback on which specific areas need improvement, and how to accomplish that task. Then create a personally tailored Optimism Self-Improvement Plan to help you reframe your goal ( related to: career transition, optimistic parenting, healthy living, relationship issues, more optimism in general, etc) and have a plan to take the next steps needed to see your goal be accomplished!

Date:  Register NOW for Saturday, March 13th, 9am-1pm

Price: $65 for individuals; or $50/person with a group of 2 or more.

Optimistic Parenting for Children Living with Autism Seminar

Parents raising children diagnosed with Autism face extreme obstacles day-to-day as they struggle to help their child maintain emotional stability, communicate effectively, and behave in a non-disruptive manner. There is no doubt that it is easy to get caught up into a negative and pessimistic view of parenting.

Designed to be an introductory course, this seminar will highlight ways in which parents and Autism service providers (e.g., caretakers, teachers, other professionals...) can use the core principles of optimism to form a positive foundation for raising a child diagnosed with Autism.

Learn positive behavioral and attitudinal perspectives that can help result in a more positive behavioral profile from the child, and a more positive experience for the adult.

Also: learn what is being done to build bridges in our community that inspire Autism awareness among local business, and how you can help.

This seminar is being co-lead with Nichole Martin, M.A., of Essence of Behavior

Date: March 27, 2010; 9:00-11:00AM

Price: $25/person
